Raising money for  ‘Reminiscense Learning’

Reminiscence Learning is a Regional and National multi-award winning registered charity based in Wellington, Somerset, specialising in Dementia care, Activity and Reminiscence.

Reminiscence Learning was created and founded by Fiona Mahoney an Occupational Therapist (OT) who has experience in both physical and mental health. She has worked in the NHS and set up her own medical equipment company “The Making Life Easier Centre” in 1985. As a qualified reflexologist, Bach flower practitioner and OT she ran her own private business, linking in with the medical centres and the Nuffield hospital.

Whilst working for the Somerset Partnership NHS Mental Health Trust in the mid-90s, Fiona set up the Penny Farthing Reminiscence Centre in Wellington, Somerset and it was here that the embryo of an idea was born to train both staff and the general public in how to run reminiscence sessions.​

In 2001 Fiona set up Reminiscence Learning and it became a registered charity in 2003. The charity has changed and developed over the years. It is now a National and Regional multi-award winning registered charity.​

It started in Wellington, moved to Bishops Lydeard, Taunton and then in 2015 we moved back to Wellington. It has grown and changed over the years responding to individual and community needs, specialising in dementia care, activity and reminiscence.

​We pride ourselves in being a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative charity who put the needs of the client and carer first and listen to their thoughts and requests.
Every single penny that is donated via  Reminiscence Learning – JustGiving will go direct to Reminiscence Learning | Dementia Care | Tonedale, Wellington and we are hoping to raise a combined total of at least £4,000, so if you can spare anything please make that donation or sponsor a friend who is boxing.

Every event Cullompton ABC put on is getting bigger and better each time, with more eyes on the event comes more opportunity for local business to be part of a highly entertaining night of boxing.

It’s great to get the local community together in something, which truly benefits great causes.

How can you get involved?

There are a few ways you can support the event.

  1. Boxer vest sponsorship (have your logo printed on a fighters vest)
  2. Sponsor a bout (featured on the running order card)
  3. Main event sponsorship ( you can pay for any part of the event – such as table hire, security, trophies)
  4. Fight Card Sponsorship ( only 1 or two businesses will be able to take advantage of this one)

Fight card sponsorship details

On the night we will have, running order fight cards
It will be an A4 Full colour sheet with th running order on one side and  advertising on the flip side

Full page:  £250.00 – so only one sponsor on the running order card – full colour A4)
Half page: £150.00 – two  A5 size advertising opportunities if nobody takes the A4 option)

Vest sponsorship
If you would like to get your business name on one of our boxers please get in touch. It’s a great way to show support for one of the charity participants.

Bout sponsorship: £100 ( maximum of two sponsors per bout)
